Tibiaan Properties’ website, www.tibiaan.com, won top honours for the second year running at the prestigious Oman Web Awards, whose eighth edition was held at the Al Bustan Palace Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Moussa Al Dweik, General Manager – Sales & Leasing, was there to collect the Gold Award for best real estate website. This is an encore performance by Tibiaan Properties that was adjudged the winner at last year’s edition of the Oman Web Awards as well. This year, the firm’s website staved off competition from other contenders to emerge trumps.

While the team at Tibiaan Properties was delighted to win the Award last year for the then-newly re-launched website, this year’s victory is even more gratifying. Having built a high-performance digital platform for real estate services that combines utility and functionality with clean design, the challenge this year was to continue meeting users’ heightened expectations from the website. And yet again, the team pulled it off.

Over the past year, Tibiaan Properties has added many more properties, increased its sales staff and extensively promoted the website through advertisements and other promotional material. This led to a spike in the traffic to the website. However, the web team worked actively to ensure that visitors continue to enjoy a seamless and trouble-free browsing experience and an attentive team to follow up on their queries.

One of the key features of the Tibiaan website is its intuitive design – information about properties and services and knowledge resources are available at a single click. The Property Locator map is another engaging feature that provides relevant data on properties in different parts of the capital. Social media widgets are also integrated into various web pages, making it easy for users to ‘share’ or ‘like’ information with their friends.

The Oman Web Awards is an annual event held under the auspices of the Information Technology Authority (e.oman). The Awards were first introduced by the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy with the objective of promoting innovation and creativity within the digital domain of Oman. An expert panel reviews and rates the websites of participating companies on concept, navigation, structure, visual design and interactivity, and gives away awards to winners in 26 different categories. Each category has three awards – Gold, Silver and Bronze – in addition to which prizes are also given for ‘Best Arabic Knowledge Content’, ‘Web Designer of the Year’ and ‘Website of the Year’.
